About Me
Larkin Richards
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, I worked as a nurse and trained in several areas including general psychiatry in community mental health, residential eating disorder treatment and palliative/end of life care. As a result of my experience, a set of core principles developed for me over the years that I apply in my work today. I believe strongly in every patient’s right to effective treatment, dignity and informed consent. I believe my role is to work with my patients and their families to make treatment decisions that will meet their goals. To that end, I prioritize thoughtful evaluation and education as a provider.
I completed my masters degree in Generalist Nursing at the University of Illinois at Chicago and my doctorate degree in Psychiatric Nursing at Rush University in Chicago. I am board certified as a psychiatric nurse practitioner.
Dr. Adrian Pellegrini, MD is my collaborating physician. He is a board certified psychiatrist with decades of experience who guides and supports me through case consultation and regular review of my documentation.
